The Pediatric Cancer Treatment Foundation starts a new PCTF I-pad Library Program @ Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Monday, May 1st 2023

The Pediatric cancer Treatment Foundation starts a new PCTF I-pad Library Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia- Child Life Center.

This programs allows kids the use of an I-pad to keep up with friends, family and school while receiving treatments at the hospital.  Hospital staff also uses the I-pads as a teaching tool to explain diagnosis and/or procedure to the young patients and their family.

This program was made possible by the donation as a result of the Charity Freezer Match held in Philadelphia PA earlier this year.

Our thanks to Steve Falk and friends for putting this together.

2nd Annual Pediatric Cancer Ride
Monday, October 23, 2023
As a result of the funds raised @ 2nd Annual Pediatric Cancer Ride last July in Asheville, the Pediatric Cancer Treatment Foundation [πŸ’—] was able to make a cash donation to The Children's Oncology Group and to the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation.
The Children's Oncology Group is dedicated to improving the outcome for all children with cancer. With more than 90% of children with cancer cared for at COG sites. There are more than 200 COG children cancer centers across the country.
In NC these include: Duke Unviversity Medical Center and UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Jeff Gordon children's Foundation concentrates mainly in research for a cure, but what struck us near to our own hearts and objectives was that as of last year's financial reports (Charity Navigator and 998 IRS form), 70% of all income goes directly to research, 27% goes to fundraising, and only 3% goes to Administration expenses and salaries. [πŸ™Œ]

Pediatric Cancer Treatment Foundation is a vocal advocate for children diagnosed with all forms of Cancer. We don't leave a stone unturned in our efforts to help give these children and their families better tools to cope with their difficult journey.

Our local teams are on the move and working diligently to raise funds necessary to give our children a chance to live.  Find out more by contacting us or make your contribution now.

"This program gives the kids the use of an I-pad while they are at the hospital getting treatment. They can stay in touch with friends, family and school work."- said PCTF Director Robert Trigueros-

"I love this program because once the kid using the I-pad gets to go home, the I-pad search history is erased and it's ready to be used by the next kid.
It is a gift that keeps on giving" [πŸ™Œ].
